Ideal for

36V e-bikes, scooters, go-karts, drift trikes – providing throttle + ignition + battery gauge in one unit

This unit is essentially the 36-volt version of a multi-function e-bike throttle assembly. It packages three functionalities into one device on the handlebar:

    • Throttle: A Hall effect twist throttle that allows the rider to modulate the speed of the e-cart or bike. Like other throttles, it has a three-wire interface (5V, Ground, Signal) to the controller. Twisting the grip increases the output voltage (approximately up to 4.2 V at full throttle), commanding the controller to drive the motor faster. The throttle is spring-return, ensuring that releasing it will bring the motor back to idle/stop.
    • Key Switch: An integrated lock with key that acts as the master power switch. Turning the key to “On” connects the 36V battery to the vehicle’s controller (or enables the controller’s power circuit); turning it “Off” disconnects power and also typically turns off the battery indicator and any controller function. This adds security (only someone with the key can start the vehicle) and a convenient single action to power down the whole system. The switch contacts are designed for DC use and in a 36V system often handle the controller’s low-power ignition circuit (a few amps at most).
    • Voltage Level Indicator: A set of LED lights or a small display that shows the battery’s charge for a 36V pack. For example, with a fully charged 36V lithium pack (~42 V) it will show full bars or a green LED, and as the voltage drops to around 30 V under load (close to “empty” for 36V), it will go to red or a low bar. This real-time feedback helps the rider know when to recharge. The indicator is calibrated for the nominal 36V range (approximately 30–42 V span).
